Solutions for clubs & associations

Real books for your club —
free, forever.

Non-profits, charities, sports leagues, and member associations run LineLedger at no cost — with fund accounting, donation receipts, and treasurer-friendly reports built in.

No credit card required. Open the books, then decide.

Built for the way you work

Seven things LineLedger does for you out of the box — and the rest of the product is on too.

💟

Free, forever, for non-profits

Flip the org type to non-profit or charity and billing is auto-exempted. Not a discount tier — the whole product, at no cost.

📒

Fund accounting with restricted funds

Net-asset subtypes — unrestricted, restricted, endowment — with interfund transfers, so designated money stays designated.

🧾

Donation receipts for your donors

Issue donation receipts right from the books, kept next to the transactions they explain.

Member dues & recurring invoices

Bill dues on a schedule, take online payments through the member portal, and see who's outstanding at a glance.

🔐

Volunteer-safe access control

Passkeys, two-factor sign-in, and per-member section access — the treasurer, the bookkeeper, and the board each see exactly what they should.

📈

Budgets the treasurer can defend

Budget vs. actual by account, with drill-through reports behind every number when the board asks where it went.

💾

Handover-proof backups

Export the whole set of books to a portable ZIP and restore it anywhere — so a change of treasurer never means starting over.

Common questions

Is it really free for clubs?
Yes. Registered non-profits and charities — and unincorporated associations like sports leagues, hobby clubs, makerspaces, HOAs, and PACs. If you operate at cost for your members, you qualify. Tell us about your organization at signup and we'll mark you exempt.
Do we need 501(c)(3) status to qualify?
No — unincorporated associations qualify too. If your organization operates at cost for its members, the free tier is for you.
What happens when our treasurer changes?
Hand over a login, not a shoebox. Per-member roles transfer access cleanly, the audit log shows who changed what, and a portable ZIP backup means the books survive any transition.
Can we track restricted funds separately?
Yes — restricted funds with interfund transfers are built into the non-profit org type, so grant money and designated gifts stay visibly separate from general funds.
